First Annual ICRC Time Trial Championship: Week One
Each week I pick 2 tracks and 2 cars as requested by the event participants, randomly.
IN ORDER FOR YOUR LAP TO QUALIFY you must be in a lobby with no less then one other club member to verify your time.
For example (and let's keep this simple)
TeamGreen and I are online at the same time and decide to do our qualification laps for the week. So we create a lobby, pick the specified track/car, set the race to 10 laps (or whatever the players decide) and start the race.
The race begins, I give TeamGreen a 20sec head start as the first lap doesn't count anyway. Then Taadaa after the race is over our fastest "clean" laptime is posted on the screen for both to see. If we decide we need more laps, then so be it. Then we post our lap times in the forums.
Note: You can run as many laps as you wish as long as another club member is avalible to verify your time.
Let's say 5 of us are online at the same time and decide to do our weekly club time trial, then we all join a lobby get our asses to the track, give each player a head start, then post laps.
The Rules for this are as follows:
Be kind, if you run off the track please allow racers behind to pass before you re-enter the track.
The shorter the track, the less amount of racers you would want in the lobby.
Help eachother, if someone needs to get a few laps in to post a time, lend your time and join a lobby with them.
Only stock PI cars and all club garage cars are eligible, want to race a particular build? Make it, send it to the garage, then request it.
Play the last lap by ear, know that the last lap may get cut short depending on your track position. Don't get bent out of shape if your unable to finish. Give it another go or wait for someone else to get on and try again.
Let's get this started.....

First Request Car/Track: Stock '99 Honda Civic/Road Atlanta Full
Second Request Car/Track: Club Garage R3 Chevy Colt/Suzuka East
Cars and Tracks will be revealed on Sunday and the event will run one week.
The entry fee car doesn't matter as long as it has a value of 50k credits. The idea is not the car, but a way to pass along credits to the winner.
Lap Times will be posted in a New Forum I create before Sunday.
Again, let's start the sign-ups now.
And happy racing everyone

First Request Car/Track: Stock 1981 BMW M1 / Mazda Laguna Seca Full circuit (B class 451 PI)
Second Request Car/Track: Stock 2004 Honda Civic Type-R / Hockenheimring National Circuit (C Class 377 PI)
Just a wee thought, if we should happen to post a time during the challenges date limits to the clubs Rivals board where it can be easily verified would this be acceptable if it is better than a time posted during a partnered session?

As long as you note that your time is self verified, and where to find it then I don't see why not.
